Rick Owens jacket, tee, tank, skirt (worn backwards) and boots. Zam Barrett bag. Wolford tights.
It's finally gotten cold enough to wear some of the pieces I picked up for fall waaaay back in summer. I had been squirreling them (and others!) away in my closet.
I wore this last week to meet my friend for lunch. A bit dramatic for day, but I was itching to wear something new. Plus, I've been marathoning RuPaul's Drag Race on Netflix and I guess it gave me some confidence to say "what the fuck, I'm wearing it anyway"
This skirt I've had for a long time but it just dawned on me that I can wear it backwards! Have you ever had a garment you discovered could be worn another way?

Ahh love this! The coat is fantastic and I like the different earth tones.
You are torturing me with this jacket. In very last moment I decided not to buy and now I wish I did.
I wear some Complexgeometries pieces upside down. Haven't worn anything backwards for a while.
I've had my eyes on a black pair of RO Brancusi boots. Are yours true to size, and did you have to size up in order to get them on? I heard there's no zipper, so...
this look so too, too good.
Umm looking amazing. Perfect for lunch, I'd say. Freaking jealous of the jacket!
Oops - I mean Owens Ruhlman boots, not Brancusi (which are equally amazing).

pete- thanks!
divinitus- oh! I thought you had this jacket! I was having second thoughts about it too until I wore it out :)
odyssey- I am true to size, though I really wanted the thigh-high version, but I couldn't get my foot to the bottom of any size (without cracking my ankle bone in half) the shorter boots are much easier to get into.
I have to agree, that jacket is a million times more exciting/flattering worn in a real outfit than it ever looked on a forlorn hanger. All over this.
Alicia- yes, but it does feel a bit like the hanger is still inside! The shoulders are very structured... almost binding
Stephanie, I got the longer version, with leather mock neck and down filling.
Oooh nice! I love that style - must be so warm. I want one of the older sleeping-bag styles from Fall '10.
Ok, good to know, thanks. I was looking at the thigh highs too but figured, as you say, they're hard to put on.

It's like the inside lining is not "taught" enough. I can get my foot and leg all the way down until you have to bend your foot down to get into the actual "shoe" part- a real shame because they are so fabulous! I was breaking a sweat in the NY store trying to force a pair on!
love this look!
*i always wear stuff backwards. ;)
I wish I had met you when I was living in Vancouver in 2009! Love everything.
