It was my boyfriend's birthday last weekend, so in addition to brunch and dinner, I took him on an eco-tour around Horseshoe Bay. I am not a boat person. I get sea-sick so easily, so I made sure to take some Gravol before the trip, and luckily it worked really well. So well, that I was drowsy for the rest of the day! Being drowsy is better than being sea sick though. Horseshoe Bay is a 20 min drive from the downtown core, where you can hop on a boat or ferry to explore some of the surrounding islands.

Who doesn't love smiley seals?!

Vancouver from a distance (it was a bit choppy on the water, hence the nausea-inducing shot)

As much as I love traveling around the world and living in Paris, ok, ok, I have to admit Vancouver is beautiful in its own way.

I have heard nothing but great things about Vancouver! It's on my Canada travel list, now that I've had a small taste. :)

Aah, we just took a road trip from Whistler through Vancouver and then all the way home to L.A.
The ocean views were gorgeous and mesmerizing the entire ride.

That really does look beautiful! I just moved to Lake Tahoe in California, and it's got similar views! I love living somewhere where there's so much green and water!
