simplicity
I'm really craving some simple, timeless pieces. Something that can be lazily thrown on but still look acceptable. I'm tired of seeing trends everywhere- it's time for slow fashion.

slow fashion is exactly what i'm aiming for with my wardrobe. i think that's why i keep coming back to Sofia Coppola as an inspiration lately...
agreed! slow fashion for me, too. i'm sick of trends.
nice selections here- the basics with an edge.
When you dress to suit yourself it's not about "slow" buying classic for the sake of buying classic or the fleeting sensation of trends, it becomes what you like is what you like.
fashion agony- I know! I was hoping they would be on sale here, but they're not. :(
miss sophie- My style is a bit more dark, but I still love her, and her LV bag.
styleodyssey- agreed, my basics need to have a bit of an edge.
h- definitely not classic for the sake of being classic. I have no need for conventional classics. White shirts and black dress trousers are just not my thing- not my lifestyle. My basics and classics are something different and I do think that's how everyone should look at it, and I know you do as well :)
mmmmmm that would be lovely
Ditto.
Love the boots.

MMMM, i love the idea of slow fashion.
Interesting post and accompanying picture because it just proves that 'classics' are so different from one person to the other. Everything you posted as classic looks really trendy to me.
if you had a 'like' button, i would 'like' this comment...
i usually steer clear of obvious trends & always just wear what i like, regardless.
great boots!
