Yes, cliché title, I know, but summer has just hit here and I've been trying to cope. I wanted to share a few outfits with you. I've also been sewing some things for myself. I just realized what a great skill sewing is to have. I tried to brighten the images with my stellar photoshop skills, enough so you can see what's going on hopefully.

The top is self-made and based off a complex geometries top I have. I made it shorter in the front, slightly longer in the back and detached the strap so I can tie it different ways, and... black. It's kind of like their Binder tee, which I've learned isn't being made anymore!
Also the trousers are one of the things I ordered from Antonioli. I knew I wanted something with that bird print on it, and after trying these on in a local store, I was surprised that a printed pair of silk trousers would appeal to me so much! I got them 1 size up so they would be loose and breezy for summer.

This dress I made based off of one from Ann's spring 2009 collection. I tried it on at the Tokyo store, and after that I didn't see it anywhere outside of Japan... so I decided to make it going off my spotty memory. It involves a LOT of fabric...

This is my "lazy" outfit. I'm wearing it right now actually. I made the skirt last summer, and the sandals are new, from Jeffrey Campbell. Easy summer bag from Antonioli.

So this is a very sheer tank dress from Rick Owens from Antonioli. I'm trying to decide how to wear it re: modesty. I'm not exactly comfortable with nips to the breeze. Do you prefer the nude bodysuit or black lace bra? I find the nude bodysuit annoying because it's too small and cuts me in the armpit, thus making me feel like a stuffed sausage. I'm thinking I might sew up a one-shoulder bra to work with this perhaps. Let me know what you think.
I also made a pair of black micro-mesh leggings, which I've been wearing with a navy jersey Topshop dress. I'm so happy Topshop ships to Canada now. I'm keeping an eye on their new arrivals for fall coats!
