I give Jon credit for most of these pictures, as I had my Diana (have to get those developed!)

Our first morning we went to eat award winning croissants. When I think of award winning anything, I think expensive. They were €1 and the best croissants I've ever had in my life. We ate them at a neighboring park. I love how instead of oppressing-looking chain-link fence there is a more delicate alternative in France.

A bit of shopping at Printemps, Galleries Lafayette and Uniqlo.

We visited the crypt at Notre Dame. We wanted to go up in the tower since neither of us has been before, but the line-up stretched a good ways down the street, so we passed.

Walking around at night...

I only realized half-way through the trip that I was being paparazzi'd by Jon.

Shopping in le Marais... a beautiful chalk illustration on a chalkboard-painted wall.

Isabel Marant of course, along with Vanessa Bruno, APC, Merci, etc.

A walk along the Seine to the Orsay.

(For those who asked, boots from Margiela, as blogged here!)

Taking a little break in the Jardin des Tuileries watching ducks (and fish!)

The damn paparazzi as I exit Laduree.

I realized we didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but I have the philosophy that if you are so busy behind a camera you aren't really "seeing" things, you know? Sometimes it's just nice to relax, experience things and not take pictures of everything. I wish I had my Diana pictures developed, but I'm going to drop them off today. Stockholm pictures to come, along with purchases, and maybe some outfits?

Jon is a great photographer too! What a beautiful trip, and now you have both of your photos to remember it by.
great photographs! im staying in le marais at the moment, such a great area. any purchases at isabel marant?
OMG I looooove your isabel marant boots! (or your friend's?)
Adore the paparazzi photo.. captures the real parisienne. And did you manage to survive Uniqlo? It's always excessively crowded in there even at 10 AM :S
magdalyn- Yes yes! I will share it soon :)
Dead Fleurette- Thanks! They're actually Margiela, but look a lot like the boots she did with the triangle heel. We did survive Uniqlo! We were there shortly after it opened and luckily it was pretty empty.
WOAH, that chalk frog!!! wow wow wow
oh what i would give for even a 1/2 way decent croissant right now. i remember the first time i went to france & had one in high school.... & i realized every croissant i'd eaten in the years before had been pretty much terrible.
блог - восторг!))

ahhh such lovely photos! where did you get the amazing croissants? can't wait to see what you bought!
tell us about those boots plz
Anna- I feel dumb, I didn't even clue in that it was a frog! I couldn't believe it was chalk!
Mallory- same here. I don't even bother here, unless it's from one specific place here that can make them pretty good (though not as good as Paris)
Ally- I'll add it in on my next Paris post!
Veronicahhh- Added in the post for you- they're Martin Margiela.
Love your photos! I can't wait to do/ see/ visit the same in a month! :)
Where did you get those amazing croissants? Would like to try! :)
oh gosh...i just went to paris for the first time this summer, and i was so in awe and head over heels for the entire city. my boyfriend and i only had a few days, so we didn't have enough time to visit all the places and shops we wanted to see, but i'm already planning multiple return trips in the near future...your photos are so lovely, and LOVE the margiela booties! :)
Ginta- I will post the croissant places in my next Paris post!
Miss Sophie- We've been to Paris multiple times and still haven't done everything we wanted yet! I need a month at least!

i agree on not taking too much time behind the camera. you miss out on your own trip trying to document it for when you come back.
love the boots...still.
and yay for photos!
Looks like you had a great time ! I always love seeing the city in the eyes of foreigners, makes me realize how lucky I am to be there.
On a side note 1 euro is standard price for good croissants!
Aïssa- you are lucky! That's what I meant by "only 1 euro" I thought something award winning would cost more, but they were the usual price for a croissant!
love your photos! i'm headed to paris for the weekend.
can i ask where your camel coat is from?
biscuit- Thanks! My camel coat is from Zara.
great photography! love to see a fellow Canadian with an amazing blog.
I LOVE the paparazzi photos! Such a great idea to capture the moment. Your photos are amazing!
