this weekend was pretty productive- we made an upholstered headboard complete with tufting (22 buttons worth!) it took 5 hours from start to finish (including bolting it to the bed frame) i'm glad it's finally done! last week jon found a really good deal on tolomeo wall lights ($50 each!), so we put those up over the bed for reading. now it's time to find new sheets, and a few other things. i'll take some pictures once it's done!

you can actually buy decent tabi socks at Daiso in Richmond or Yoko Yaya at Tinseltown. Those boots are wicked.

martin margiela, i presume? i was on the fence about tabi boots for so long. finally determined i must have some. but i want a silver pair. they're out there...somewhere...in my size. i can wait. :)
my own jon (interesting coincidence, i'm also stephanie) ought to install some cool lights, too- but it'll have to wait. no tolemeo lights around here, i'm afraid.

-h- i found some hand knit tabi socks on etsy i think i might have to have for home/relax time
gs- yes, very comfortable and they run small.
xing- headboard won't be posted for a bit, but it's grey! ;) lights were from lightform
me too! i have a black pair covered in white paint and love them so im looking for a beige pair covered in white paint..the thigh high and the shorter ankle boot versions would be nice as well...they are so versatile. muji has nice tabi socks, i always get mine there

If it matters, Irregular Choice sells tabi boots at a fraction of the cost of margiela. While there are none out right now, i'm sure there will be some for the spring collection.
