i think this is one of the smartest shoe purchases i've made to date. the margiela geo-heel ankle boots. they are so comfortable- i mean really comfortable, not just "bearable" i really wish i could afford to get them in brown as well!
so far i'm wearing them with my diet butcher jeans with white ann demeulemeester button-up tunic (sleeves rolled up as usual) layered over a grey ribbed rick owens tank (kind of my uniform for the past two weeks) i tried wearing them bare legged with my acne guide dress, but i think the black looks too harsh against my pale skinned legs. i think they will work much better with semi-sheer tights.

they're perfect! i'm still hunting for a great pair of comfortable and most importantly, black ankle boots but haven't found the right match yet, though these are quite tempting...
You got them!? Fantastic!!! I wish you would have posted an outfit with them. x
ive been eyeing the brown ones for a while now but i live in a city where they dont carry it to try it on in real life. can i ask where u got them, and if they run true to size? thanks, they're soo beautiful and practical!

good buy indeed.
love these shoes! great buy. i have similar ones from aldo but would prefer the margiela any day
camille- i had been searching for a while too! i didn't want to buy anything with too high a heel, as black ankle boots are such a staple/basic. that is what i like about these.
gs- i'm so lazy to take outfit pictures! i should get around to it soon.
naiyana- i got mine from totokaelo/impulse in seattle. luckily we were driving through so i could see them in person. they fit about a 1/2 size large. i'm usually a 38 and got a 37.5
Man i need some comfortable boots,i have a gorgeous pair of Isabel Marant knee highs, but damn they're uncomfortable! I love summer shoes so much, i dread this time every year :(
Love the heel, I need a pair!

these are so amazing. really simple but with a twist that makes them stand out. lucky! my hunt still continues...
Does that triangular heel feel weird at all?
wendyb- i was thinking it might feel a bit weird or maybe be wobbly, because i have the sandals with the triangular heel from spring and those are a bit tricky to walk in. but these aren't wobbly or strange feeling at all- they just feel like a normal (low) heel. i was able to walk/sight see all day (10 hours or so) with no sore feet. i was totally amazed, because my feet are very sensitive.
Oh my, after you and gold sphere, I am really craving a pair of these boots! They are fabulous!
i love these shoes too! watch out, though. I quickly had to replace the plastic heel piece right away (i'm hard on my shoes) and took them to a place that didn't quite understand the aesthetic of the shoe. they just stuck on a little rectangular shaped piece. it looks okay, but not as angular or unique.
I think these are really lovely. Who is the shoe designer and where can i get a pair myself? Thanks, lovely blog by the way.
