this store actually had an impressive selection of brands, including oliver peoples, tom ford, persol, rayban, paul smith, etc. and everything was 50% off. except oliver peoples. so of course one of the two glasses that were my favorites was a pair from oliver peoples. the other is a pair from rayban that were half the price. raybans it is! i would have loved to try on a few styles from persol, but unfortunately they only had one style in stock.

this is the pair from oliver peoples. i was looking at them in black, but the honey and clear versions are very cool! i might have to try them on for fun when i pick mine up.

very very similar to the raybans, but in person the frame is a bit chunkier.

can't wait to get them!

The Oliver Peoples ones are really nice! Where was this place that had such a great deal on glasses? I'm due in for a pair myself.
Where is this place? I need new glasses (I sat on my current pair a few times too many). The selection here in Victoria is blah...not unless there's a place I overlooked...
i wouldnt went straight for the tom fords!!! but then again tom fords are a few steps over the line of what id spend on glasses. :/
any one of them would have been a good choice!
OC & Melissa- It's the Optical store on the 2nd level in City Square. I pass it every time I go to the gym.
-h: Yeah, I was impressed they had Tom Ford! The Ford pair I didn't mind were reg $660 (so $330), the Oliver Peoples $380 and the Raybans ended up being $120. Since I won't be wearing them all the time (mostly just at home for working/reading) I didn't want to spend that much!
Having really bad vision myself, I always found it so strange that so many people say they always wanted to have to wear glasses. One thing people with normal vision never think about is that the higher your prescription, the thicker the lenses and the more distorted your eyes look. I could never wear glasses for fashion for this reason, though I have nice frames. I find the whole "fake glasses" trend so silly. But my griping aside, I really love the honey coloured frames. :)
Shay- It's so true that 'you always want something you don't have'. I agree about the "fake glasses" I could never get behind that! That's why I was so pleased I actually have a prescription. Hopefully my eyesight won't get worse :)
my vision is so terrible that i have to pay through the nose for fancy lenses that aren't super thick. i love my clear frames, which i bought on ebay for $30. i wish i had bought more at the time. those clear oliver peoples are calling my name, but i have to reserve $200+ for the lenses alone....sigh.
I've been a silent follower of your blog for the longest time and in a sense, you've inspired me to become my own blogger. Please offer me support! Thanks.
i have horrible vision! i have to wear contacts though because the peripheral vision thing with glasses always throws me off!
A friend of mine has been wearing Wayfarer frames for at least 20 years, and they still look really hot on him!
Love the Oliver Peoples in clear. I think I am due for some new coke bottles. I too don't understand the fake glasses thing. For some reason I feel even more clumsy than usual when I wear eye glasses, therefore I never wear them outside of the house.
i like those raybans; does it have any particular style number?
