i was having sushi at lunch today with some friends, and was reminiscing a bit about tokyo. i was thinking to myself that on my first visit the architecture surprised me. there is so much variety in the styles of buildings and very interesting shapes, treatments and materials used. it was very inspiring from a form and texture standpoint.
which brings me to this beautiful building for the ann demeulemeester store in seoul, korea. by
mass studios.

beautiful. i wonder, real or faux plants?
i wonder about inside, but i think outside is real. a whole foods just opened up near me and they have a growing wall like this- all real plants that get 'touched up' (ie dead plants get replaced) every once and a while.
this is super neat. i love plants.
oh my goodness, I wish I went to see that when I was in Seoul.
There is a serious architectural movement going on in Seoul.

Oh wow, I'm out of words. It is beautiful!
i can hardly believe that.. so amazing! thanks for posting.
that is truly breathtaking! I really hope that the whole building was designed sustainably, and that they haven't just slapped some grass on the side to look pretty.
