irasshaimase!!!

so in mid-may we went back to tokyo for a week and a half. over the past little while i've been feeling a bit down, so when our trip finally came, i wanted to leave and never come back.

Tokyo - Ginza

Tokyo - Omotesando

Tokyo - Sumo

it was great to go back to tokyo and get our fill of things we missed (ice cream nut bars and first kitchen flavour fries), do a bit of shopping, and a few touristy things we missed the first time around.

some notable things...

- sumo tournament in ryogoku (so much fun!)

- out to hakone to see mt.fuji

- cat cafe in kichijoji

- wandering around lost in shimokitazawa at night. wish we could have gone back during the day.

- 6+ antwerp fashion exhibit at the opera city art gallery

- namjatown in sunshine city in ikebukuro

- shiba inu spottings

- yakitori in train underpass in ginza (again)

- tsukiji fish market

- sanja-matsuri festival in asakusa

- so much more.

see more pictures here

i will do some more posts on what i purchased... there were some gems!

wow I was just in Japan recently too!

But first and foremost I hope the trip definately made you a little cheerier!

How'd u know of all those places to go to? I basically went shopping in the dept. stores near the railway lines and that basically already ate up 4 days of time! Did you have like a book or something about where to go in Japan? Or can you speak Japanese? Wow! I'm so amazed by all that you did there!

I'm sorry you were feeling down... I can totally understand wanting to leave for Tokyo and never come back, but I'm glad you had a great time and have great memories (and photos!) to take home with you.
