my poor neglected blog. too bad blog. i've been busy.

i think i should just give in to my cross-dressing ways, and just stop buying womens clothing. why is mens clothing so much more appealing to me right now? i wish i had the funds to buy the mens pieces i love and take them to a tailor and say "here, make them fit me", because while i can get away with some things (t-shirts, waistcoats, some jeans) some things (jackets, coats) just won't work on me. i remember a mens size small ann demeulemeester jacket with a black shearling collar at komakino i was trying to make fit. not happening unfortunately.

checking out the sale section at blackbird, there are so many great things.

how amazing is this robert gellar toggle coat? i love toggles. $420.99

i just love coats and jackets in general, actually. this nom de guerre one is fantastic. fireman clasps to remind me of my dad. $535.99

this endovanera vest is cute. $123.99

i like these rachel comey shoes for a man. semi-casual look. hint hint jon. $201.99

but guess what?! i'm going on a shopping ban starting today. i have a possible something to save for in the summer (not confirmed yet) and i won't post about it until it's confirmed. but yes, shopping ban. you heard it here.

Have you ever seen the Japanese men's magazine Non No? I love looking at all the street style pictures in it and drooling over guys clothes and shoes!

menswear was my 1st love, but now i find myself being drawn back into menswear because womenswear has taken this whole trash and slash direction...

i usu dont like toggles but that 1st coat is pretty spectacular. at 1st i was going to say the endo vest is not that special, but then i saw how it can button for a different effect. i like it better. also i like the jeans the model is wearing. and gosh! it's not fair that men have it so easy when it comes to (flat) boots!

Good luck on the shopping ban! Would love to hear about any tips you pick up along the way on how to control spending.

katlin- yes! that's a good one. i get it for works sometimes. japanese mens magazines are so great.

-h: yeah the trash and slash (you hit the nail on the head) is so over saturated and oooold

i like the way the collar on that vest is straight at the bottom when it is worn normally.

Just found your blog recently and already I am feeling camaraderie... men's fashion is my not-so-secret guilty pleasure. I mean, come on. Men's clothes are more comfortable, more cool, more sexy (in a certain, non-blaringly-obvious way, of course) and in my personal opinion, more flattering than a lot of things made for the ladies. Big, soft, button-down shirts are my favorite, but I also like vests... the one you posted is great!
