3.1.09

at the end of december i decided to put an end to the madness. i stopped f-ing around with tracking down each issue of paris vogue and bucked up for a subscription. i was a bit apprehensive, it being a foreign mag, but my first issue arrived promptly, and so have the last few. i'm so glad i finally subscribed! i will not miss an issue now.

The value in subscriptions

i still haven't called to cancel my domino subscription. my last issue came a while ago. i guess i should do that before architectural digest starts coming. blech. is there any other conde mag worth switching to?

Vanity Fair? I guess?

I can't bring myself to call, but I know I'm going to be annoyed when 3 years of Arch Digest are piling up in my house...

Just yesterday I finally called to swap my subscription, but the selection is so crappy (and I finally cancelled the HORRIFIC AD subscription that they replaced my defunct House&Garden subscription with when it went under. That magazine is seriously only for dead people or soon to be. I can’t believe that magazine has gone under yet). I wish I could have switched to the New Yorker, but that subscription is more expensive so I figured they’d make me pay the difference. I went with Bon AppĂ©tit since I figure you can’t go wrong with a food mag.

hmmm... i think i'm just going to cancel and not get a replacement mag. i don't like anything they have. do you know if they will give you a refund or is it just a lost cause?

Stephanie,

From what I read at the AT forums they will give you a refund, although it'll probably be minus the issues you received for your current years subscription.
