finally the paris shows! ny was okay, london and milan meh, but now i have something to lust over. rick owens and yohji and isabel, oh my!

work is craaaazzy right now. i just got back from a presentation/meetings in calgary and the amount of stuff i have to do in two weeks is ridiculous and inhumane. i don't know how it's all going to get done.

i haven't got a chance to look at much from paris yet- even my precious nicolas has been put on the back burner!

i'm trying to avoid the fashion blogs because i want to look at the shows without any prior knowledge.

i left the house yesterday to get some magazines and visited roden gray which opened up three weeks ago. super friendly staff. its a mens store but lately i've been finding lots of mens clothes i'd prefer wearing rather than womens. they carry nice collective, home grown brand wings+horns, comme des garcons fragrences (unisex/mens ones), cdg wallets, filson, obedient sons and will be expanding their brands for fall to include helmut lang among others.



i really like all the burnt wood fixtures and would love to find out how it was done.

as soon as i figure out an excuse to buy a cdg large zip pouch i will be back to get one!

we started looking at lofts again last weekend, as we may be in the market for one soon. i love me some exposed concrete, wood beams and brick. i wish there was more of it in this city, and for cheaper! we managed to check out the new home store provide that had some good offerings from martha sturdy, jonathan adler, swans island, heath ceramics as well as lighting by niche modern. they also had a great big felt box, perfect for fire wood.
