don't do it! i've been burned 4 times by rachel comey's shoes. these sandals are so very tempting, but we both know very well what they'll do to our poor feet:
they're cut too narrow, the straps dig into the skin, and the backs cut into the ankle bone. remember the carnage and be strong...
well if her other shoes and sandals are any indication than most likely not- at least for me and a few others! I wish I found her shoes comfy because they are so great-looking!
it's so true, your k. jacques are perfect for summer. i'm looking for something slightly more elegant than the saltwaters, we'll see if i find anything that's comfortable...
yes, I wouldn't mind something a bit more dressy too- I think I might get the Nine West Heech- a gladiator wedge...even though it looks identical to my k.jacques flat sandals but with a high wedge...oh well...I think it will be a while before I can wear any sandals here anyway so I have plenty of time to decide!
I am sorry that you have had such problems with the fit of our shoes. There have been a few challenging styles over the years (we admit), but we have really worked to change any fit problems and make them more comfortable. We always make flats and clogs, styles perfect for the busy new yorker. If you have a problem with a specific pair, please do not hesitate to contact us at the studio. Most of the emails and calls we get are about re-orders as many people find them super comfortable and special to them. This is our goal, please understand that. From all of us a the Rachel Comey studio.
i love the way her shoes look, but i have had the same experience. there was a gorgeous pair of wooden wedges last year, but when i went to try them on, they were sooo heavy, and the leather cut my foot in the store.
:(
the new sandals are adorable though. i am going to pop into impulse and check them out.
Thanks for responding Rachel Comey crew! Like I said, I absolutely love the way the shoes look but I just seem to have no luck in the way they fit me- not size wise, but comfort. The sandals I bought last summer ripped my feet apart within a matter of minutes of walking. They will continue to be eye candy though!

i'm sticking with my saltwaters this summer.

I think i'm set for sandals anyway- I got those great gladiator sandals in Paris and some Undercover Birkenstocks so I think that's all I need!

that was nice of the rachel comey team....
i think their shoes are incredibly comfortable (the padding and support are great) for most people, but they simply don't work with our feet.
i am considering a pair of dark olive oxfords by tracey neuls at worthwhile, but i'm gun shy about ordering shoes online now....
