curls curls curls

i've decided to stop fighting my curls. i have naturally curly hair and usually after a shower i pull it all back in a pony tail which makes it straight. when i'm more ambitious or going out i straighten it. those days are over! well, i might straighten it for a special occasion or something, but now i just straighten my bangs, which i :::have::: to or else i look like hermie from rudolf the red nosed reindeer with a serious cowlick. now i follow the same routine after i wash my hair: aveda brilliant damage control spray, aveda volumizing tonic at the roots and bangs, blowdry and straighten bangs, sometimes john masters organics dry hair nourisher and defrizzer oil on the ends if my hair is feeling dry, and now instead of straightening cream I run aveda be curly curl control through and air dry! it sounds complicated but its really easy and i love the results.

your hair is beautiful! i love curly hair so much. mine is wavy or straight depending on its mood, but i can understand the allure of perfectly straight hair.

the IM dress looks great with the black scarf.

thanks erica+erica! I was actually considering getting it chemically straightened, but not anymore.

Do you go to the salon to get the color done? I'm seriously considering going all one color, since my hairdresser is in Van and I'm scared to go to one here...and right now I have some serious roots that are freaking me out!!

Hey mel- yep, it's a salon job. I go to Moods in Yaletown now. I used to go to kelli at propaganda but she moved salons and is teaching so i needed a new stylist. This salon looks fun (and they use bumble and bumble- my favorite!)

I love the one colour look- plus I don't have to worry about roots much since it's pretty close to my natural colour.

Good luck!

I agree with Diane. It's an incredible product.

Also, I noticed that your hair is curly on the bottom and flat on top. If you want a better balance, either all curls or all flat, it's easy to do. Use Curls for Straight Hair by Sabino Hair Solutions on the top. Diffuse and your ready to go. Or ... use Moisture Block by the same company for the bottom, messy dry and smooth with your fingers ... their great and hold up in any climate no matter how intense.
